Notice of Public Comment Period
The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) will conduct a public comment period on the Proposed State of Nebraska Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) which is prepared in support of the Consolidated Plan. In conjunction with the Proposed 2012 Annual Action Plan videoconferences, which will be held on November 16 and November 22, 2011, the Proposed AI will also be presented to the public. The State of Nebraska is required by HUD to complete an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice; take actions to overcome the effects of any impediments identified; and maintain records reflecting the actions taken in response to the analysis. The purpose of the Analysis of Impediments is to foster a careful examination on a state-wide basis, those factors which restrict or preclude fair housing choice. The Department has contracted with Western Economic Services (WES) to prepare the AI.
Copies of the Proposed State of Nebraska Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice will be available at the videoconference locations noted below, or on the DED website at: http://www.neded.org/community/community-info/documentslibrary-a-forms after November 16, 2011, or can be requested by calling Bob Doty at (800) 426-6505, or (402) 471-2095, or by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
